About The Role
We’re searching for a Investment Operations Analyst to join our Investment Relationships team on a 9 months FTC basis. The team forms an important part of the Investment Operations function. You will assist the investment operations manager and colleagues in ensuring we deliver great outcomes to our users by managing servicing requests from our investment partners including DFMs, fund managers, and IFAs, enabling our partners to get the most from the proposition and building good long term relationships. This includes managing new asset requests, onboarding new DFMs or supporting existing DFMs with their operation on the platform.
This is an exciting and fast paced role. You’ll have an eye for detail and enthusiasm for finding ways to do things better, highlighting where a control could be improved and aid the design and implementation of this to ensure we best service the needs of our clients and safeguard our clients’ money. You’ll need to understand the consequences of all actions and manage these in line with our risk framework.
A Bit About You
Your friends would probably describe you as the "super-organised" one, incredibly well planned and someone who takes time to really understand people and their needs. You’re the type of person who asks great questions to understand expectations but can react like lightening to solve problems as they occur.
You love sharing knowledge and helping others and get a real kick out of encouraging the right behaviours, supporting our core values and personally demonstrating these. You’ll set the bar high on performance even when stretching for the team, creating an environment where high performance is the norm.
Role
We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but in this role we’d really like you to have/be:
- Previous experience in the financial services industry and ideally working with a wrap platform/stock broker/investment manager in an investment operations capacity
- Knowledge of different investment types and investment processes would be an advantage
- Some relationship management experience would be an advantage
- Good eye for detail with ability to own issues through to conclusion
- Ambition to build a career in investment operations
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Able to prioritise the high impact work, but never neglect the details
- Excellent communication skills – we need you to be comfortable representing our culture and values, with an emphasis on a speedy, friendly approach
- Able to anticipate the needs of those you work with, while juggling conflicting priorities
