In the case of our Investment Companies business, this includes marketing to both investment professionals and retail investors. Global Investment Solutions | Fidelity International | United Kingdom
About Your Role
This is a hands-on role that will drive the success of marketing programs supporting the growth of Fidelity’s range of listed Investment Companies.
You will be accountable for the execution of the marketing strategy to integrate plans for both investment professionals and retail investors. This includes the existing shareholder base as well as activity to attract new investors.
Utilising paid and owned channels, online and offline, you will plan and deliver programs of activity that align with the objectives of the Investment Companies business and the wider needs of Fidelity’s UK distribution. Success is measured against defined KPIs set down by the Boards of each Investment Company.
By seeking continuous improvement and greater efficiency in the use of marketing budget and resource, you will be expected to evolve and optimize promotional plans and contact strategies for each customer segment. This will involve working closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Investment Management and the Investment Companies business to shape and influence messaging and priorities.
You will also brief and manage ongoing relationships with agencies and vendors supporting delivery of planned activity, including effective service level evaluation.
You will oversee the process to manage production and maintenance of investment companies marketing output and ensure all programs and materials meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
About You
You will have strong technical knowledge of marketing retail investment products, ideally Investment Trusts. This will include audience segmentation, media planning, creative development, copywriting, agency management and performance measurement.
With a passion for both communication and investment markets, you will show the ability to understand diverse information and distil it into key messages, effective client content and successful campaigns.
You are resilient and able to manage and prioritise multiple objectives and demands on your time.
You will be confident working with colleagues at all levels of our organisation and our agency partners, with the ability to influence others and develop supportive and productive working relationships.
You will be process-oriented and have an analytical and enquiring mind, able to support evidence-based marketing and evolve best-practice.
You are able to mix strategic ‘big picture’ thinking with practical and detailed ‘hands-on’ application. As such, you set yourself high standards, have an eye for detail, take pride in your work, have a strong work ethic and always look to produce the best client experience possible.
Experience And Qualifications Required
- Strong technical understanding of financial markets, investment products and the competitive landscape.
- Previous experience of the investment companies/trust sector preferable.
- Experience of developing messaging and briefs for business-to-business and end-consumer communications, especially through digital channels
- Experience with the Adobe Analytics and Marketo platforms would be advantageous.
- IMC or similar professional qualification desired.
- Knowledge of the UK regulatory framework as it applies to investment companies, asset managers and distributors.
