Supporting our new Chief Strategy and Investor Relations Officer, Dhruv Gahlaut, we’re recruiting for an Investor Relations and Strategy Manager to help ensure the function is executing on the Group strategy and investor relations activity. This role requires a proactive individual with strong business acumen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Investor Relations and Strategy Office is responsible for developing and shaping the Group’s strategic narrative for investors and other stakeholders. Y ou will be a trusted strategic partner to our Chief Investor Relations and Strategy Officer - enabling him and his leadership team to drive change and make decisions at pace - which means truly being a team player and getting involved in core IR activity (including roadshow planning and prep, preparing investor presentations and analyses) as well as group strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
We truly believe this role will play a critical part in our growth and success– implementing strategies and overseeing key projects. By building strong relationships across the business, you’ll help ensure alignment, accountability, and transparency.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Work with the Chief Strategy and Investor Relations Office r and their Leadership Team (LT) to develop and execute the strategy and initiatives
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory guidance, and competitor activities ‘bringing the outside in’
- Driving the annual strategic planning review process with the team
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure Investor Relations activity is completed to a high standard - including but not limited to supporting the preparation of content for external results announcements, investor relations roadshow planning and coordination
- Review the supporting material for the announcements, presentations, investor packs, annual report, press releases etc. (taking ownership of the data and need to challenge)
- Develop a sound network across DLG, maintaining a pulse on daily operations to understand trends, risks and opportunities and help Leadership pivot as required – quickly and proactively
What we’re looking for:
- Current or recent experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), External Reporting, Equity Research (covering insurance), Investor Relations, or Strategy within the Insurance sector
- Analytical skills to not only gather and summarise data, but to also help find solutions to project challenges. Exercise a high level of independent judgement and problem solving, being able to influence where needed.
- Discretion, tact and assertiveness, with the ability to influence and manage relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
- Proactive and self-led with the personal resilience to work under conflicting priorities and pressures - requiring flexibility and adaptability in working approach
- Adaptable and tenacious with the stamina to see work through to completion
