We are hiring! We are looking to recruit an IT Finance Analyst to join our wider Finance team in our Support Centre in Watford. The purpose of this role is to monitor, control, challenge IT spend and business partner the IT team, including supporting IT investment business cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the month end process including posting journals, investigating issues, reconciling the P&L, capitalising completed projects and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Prepare insightful summary of period and YTD performance for 1) inclusion in the management accounts 2) monthly updates to project managers
- Supporting and following processes and controls in place to support the timely approval and classification of invoices by the IT leadership team.
- Ad Hoc analysis on IT BAU and Project expenditure allowing Finance to challenge the business accordingly
- Support Finance Manager with budgeting & forecasting process for IT spend, liaising with the IT team to ensure all relevant opex and capex costs are covered
- Understanding the IT investment business cases to ensure correct treatment of costs
- Build strong relationships with Finance and Non-Finance Stakeholders to drive wider understanding of business and how IT integrates
- Supporting Head of FP&A with reporting and analysis, as required
What are we looking for:
- Essential: Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- A-Level science or mathematics based subject
- 1-2 years Finance Analyst experience
