La Fosse is currently partnered with a leading global insurer to find their future IT Operations Platform and Security Lead.

IT Operational Platform & Security Lead

• London | Hybrid (3 days in office)
• £85,000-£95,000 + Benefits

You will drive critical infrastructure operations, cloud transformation, and cybersecurity initiatives across the enterprise technology estate.

Given the nature of the business, you will need to be a hands-on leader, with the ability to look at things strategically. You'll be managing an in house team as well as support from their MSP, in a cloud-first, Microsoft-centric environment.

• Lead and evolve infrastructure operations across Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud platforms
• Drive cloud migration, lifecycle management, and reduction of technical deb
• Enhance and secure our global IT estate, including patching, identity/access management, and endpoint protection
• Own and optimise disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, FCA)
• Oversee third-party vendor performance and service delivery metrics
• Embed DevOps practices and automation across operations

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure operations and Microsoft Azure
• Deep experience managing Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), and security tools such as Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including zero-trust, IAM, Defender/Sentinel, and compliance frameworks
• Hands-on technical ability and willingness to step in where needed
• Leadership mindset with the ability to influence, challenge respectfully, and drive strategic improvements
• Comfortable working across global teams and managing outsourced partners
