The Role

We’re seeking a diligent and driven IT Infrastructure and Security engineer to ensure secure and compliant IT Systems are implemented and maintained throughout the organisation. This is a key role in our IT team, providing the technical support to study, analyse and implement proposed improvements to IT processes and information systems, increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Working closely with server and network colleagues throughout organisation.

You’ll ensure periodic security testing and review of all IT in house and external infrastructure and take responsibility for defining technical security standards. You will perform critical systems and software update with the latest security patches.

In this regional role, you’ll take an active part and participate in projects, to drive projects to comply with information security controls, and to educate the business on information security standards, policies, and best practices, assisting the IT team members in understanding and responding to security requirements and controls.

Site based role reporting to Senior Director of IT Operations EMENA.

The Person

• Extensive experience in IT security engineering with hands on experience with knowledge of multiple solutions, Cisco, Fortinet, MS technologies, Linux, VMWare, HP Hyperconvergence, Veeam
• Strong background in server and or network engineering
• A background in supporting network and application architecture covering different technology stacks, platforms and protocols
• Experienced in NIS2, ISO27001, Information Security Management System etc
• Experience in implementation of a Zero Trust methodology
• Experience in a hybrid cloud/on premise architecture and engineering solutions to meet business needs
• Experience and understanding of security requirements to meet national governance standards (DPA, etc.)
• Technical hands-on exposure to the various security products and platforms
• Experience in identification and selection of security solutions
• Strong attention to detail
• Organised efficient and accurate
• The ability to work independently and with others
• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
