We’re looking for a Joining Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive Body-in-White (BIW) joining processes to support the development of structurally sound, lightweight vehicle bodies using advanced joining technologies.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Support development, validation, and optimisation of joining processes for BIW applications.
• Work on technologies such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Self-Piercing Riveting (SPR),Resistance Spot Welding (RSW),Adhesive Bonding, Laser Welding, Flow Drive Screw (FDS).
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver production-ready joining solutions.
• Participate in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal manufacturing requirements.
• Work alongside suppliers, process engineers, and other stakeholders during development and launch phases.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with one or more BIW joining processes.
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing environments and joining best practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and process documentation.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Knowledge of process validation, tooling, or joining simulation is a plus.
