Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
Our customers Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) team plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacturing. Transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities.
The Joining team within Global Manufacturing Engineering is a key department responsible for planning and deploying new and modified manufacturing processes and facilities for Body Assemblies at our customer’s site. You will collaborate closely with Process, Simulation, Product Design, and the Receiving Plant to ensure premium vehicles are both feasible and efficient to manufacture.
You will help to transform assembly methods, material selection, and joining technologies to meet the future needs in terms of body structure integrity and overall product efficiency.
As a Joining Engineer, you will provide multiple teams with advice and direction on the feasibility of joining technologies, ensuring delivery of capable processes into production facilities. Your expertise in joining will drive the team to develop suitable solutions for equipment and joining performance.
Our customer’s current portfolio of joining technologies includes MIG, LASER, Self-Piercing Riveting, Resistance Spot Welding, Adhesive, and Flow Drive Screw, among others. You will continuously evaluate joining methods to meet production demands, review product developments, and explore new materials and novel joining methods.
