The Junior Business Development Representative is assigned to multiple sellers to support accounts identified by Differentia Consulting, as accounts in a territory that are either current customers or target customers, with a high potential future value in the market. The role is part of an account team, with the primary responsibility of creating relationships and identifying potential customer needs to generate pipeline through leads and opportunities within the accounts.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact with duties:
- Maintain activities and related data in CRM system
- Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
- Build relationships with customers and assess future business needs.
- To have experience discussing Qlik and JD Edwards with customers, and as a minimum to know the key terminology.
- Achieve goals by qualifying leads and identifying needs that can be addressed by products and services that Differentia Consulting sells, passing the lead to appropriate sales resources
- Lead generation: daily, high volume outbound calling, follow up emails, and prospecting on LinkedIn.
- Lead qualification: Utilising BANT and other frameworks including data maturity to uncover and understand the problems being faced by the prospect and if we can proceed.
- Smooth handovers and clear record keeping: To book in meetings with the appropriate account owner, and to have logged on our CRM. To brief the account manager if required.
- Incorporate feedback from the sales team to review and revise qualification criteria over time
- Attend (where necessary) in person networking events, trade shows, webinars etc. to build relationships and generate leads and run or attend virtual events and to follow up leads.
- Adhering to the company’s policies and procedures when interacting with clients and prospective clients.
- Staying up to date with the company’s products, services and policies
- To be available for Qlik calling campaigns, including travel to Qlik's offices.
Skills required:
- Experience in business development, sales or related field experience
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience
- Experience researching, account planning, and prospecting into a list of accounts
- The role requires a passion for technology, data, and AI
- Good interpersonal skills to establish a positive rapport with clients and prospective clients
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service during the calls
- IT literacy, including a working knowledge of relevant software programs, such as a CRM system
- Ability to remain calm, polite and professional when dealing with clients and prospective clients
- Stamina to handle high volumes of calls and consistently provide excellent service
