Job Title: Junior Offshore Wind Geophysical Engineer

About the Role:
We are looking for a Junior Offshore Wind Geophysical Engineer to assist with the development of offshore wind projects. This entry-level position will support senior engineers in conducting geophysical surveys, analysing data, and contributing to the overall success of offshore wind farm design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey Assistance: Support the planning and execution of marine geophysical surveys using seismic, sonar, and other relevant technologies under supervision.
- Data Processing: Help analyse geophysical data to assist in creating subsurface models and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Project Support: Collaborate with senior engineers in providing geotechnical insights during the project planning and construction phases.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations align with industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and project managers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Marine Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in geophysical surveys or related field, with a willingness to learn and grow in the offshore wind sector.
- Skills: Basic understanding of geophysical tools and software, with an eagerness to develop proficiency; strong interest in marine geophysics and offshore wind.
- Certifications: Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, GWO) are beneficial but not required.
