We are currently looking for a Junior Software Developer in our Dewsbury HQ, to support our growing IT team, this is a fantastic role that will allow the successful candidate to upskill and develop through the company, you will find more details below.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain web-based PHP applications using Laravel Framework.Collaborate with senior developers to deliver high-quality software that meets business requirements.Write clean, maintainable, and secure code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.Participate in code reviews and design discussions to improve the quality and scalability of solutions.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
• Conduct unit testing and assist with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Work alongside business analysts to ensure applications are user-friendly and fit-for-purpose.
• Build responsive user interfaces using Vue.js Framework.

What You Need

• Basic knowledge or experience with Laravel and Vue.js or similar frameworks.Understanding of relational databases such as SQL.A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
• A keen interest or experience in generative AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), preferably using Python.
• Familiarity with software development tools (eg: Git, Docker, VS Code, etc.) and technologies (eg: REST APIs, JSON etc).
