Kitchen Assistant - Guysfield, Letchworth - £12.21 per hour

  • 51 Bedded Residential Care Home
  • 27 hours per week, including alternate weekends

Week 1 Rota

  • Saturday / Sunday - Off
  • Monday - 07.30am - 19.00pm
  • Tuesday to Friday - 15.30pm - 19.30pm

Week 2 Rota

  • Saturday / Sunday - 15.30pm - 19.30pm
  • Monday / Wednesday - Off
  • Tuesday - 07.30am - 19.00pm
  • Thursday / Friday - 15.30pm - 19.30pm

Job introduction

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, tidy, and well-organised.
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Support the chef in cooking and baking tasks when required.
  • Wash all the dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Sweep and mop floors and take out the rubbish regularly.

Ideal Candidate

  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Someone with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is a plus, but not essential we provide full training.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
