Summary
Supports the Head of L&D to deliver programmes of work linked to our retail people strategy. This includes initiatives such as Early Careers, Induction & Onboarding, Colleague Career Pathway, and Customer Service. As an experienced L&D professional with skills in stakeholder management, design, delivery, and leading projects we are looking for a commercially focused learning expert that can embed creative solutions that improve retail store performance.

The role will require strong relationship with senior leaders retail leaders globally, utilising those connections to influence focus on current and new L&D initiatives throughout the 12month period.

We would like to meet someone who is

  • Has experience in leading and working in retail project groups to create change towards a more people focused approach, influencing senior stakeholders to delivery retail L&D initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and delivery of training skills, delivering with clarity and influence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication keeping all stakeholders up to date with engaging communication.
  • Experience in coaching and developing retail management to improve performance, and facilitate the creation of high performing teams.
  • Has proven L&D design skills for career path model.
  • Extensive background in retail with clear understanding of customer service and the importance of the customer to commercial performance.
  • Can analyse business improvements using data to inform decision making, and design of training tools.
  • Has previous experience of creating a best-in-class induction & onboarding experience.
  • Has experience of creating and implementing an early careers initiative with particular focus in establishing key partnerships with education authorities.
  • Is fully rehearsed in understanding a blending learning approach. Can create L&D tools for both in person training sessions, and for a LMS system.
  • Can utilise Learning & Development data trends in order showcase proven results and clear impact against retail KPIs.
  • Previous experience in delivery of projects in a small time window, ensuring L&D initiatives are embedding and last the test of time.
