The Role
As a Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be joining a new team, where you will be responsible for leading the development of modular, high-quality, and scalable software applications that facilitate our customer use of our AI system stack.
Day-to-day, you’ll be leading a team of software engineers in the rapid development of AI focused applications. This will include the design and implementation of software solutions using a variety of technologies and frameworks, with a focus on cross-platform and modular code.
Essential Experience of the Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.

- Manage code reviews and work assignments for the team in order to develop and maintain code for both front-end and back-end systems.
- Mentor junior developers in professional software development techniques.
- Collaborate with the chief technologist for AI, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define application specifications.
- Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements, as well as deploy and maintain software applications in production environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability and performance.
- Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies for rapid application development.
Essential Experience of the Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer
- Significant years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Proven years of experience leading a software engineering team.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Experience with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
