Role Description
Aire Valley Surgery is looking to appoint a Lead Nurse with strategic vision to lead and develop our growing Nursing Team.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
The post holder will be practising autonomously as a Practice Nurse, Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the designated speciality area of primary care to provide patient-centred clinical care.
The post holder will support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral including the management of patients with long term conditions in primary care.
You will have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues, the management team and partners.
The post holder will deliver a clinical component to their role and there will be protected Management Time protected for matters related to appraisal, clinical audit, teaching, leadership and management, continuous professional development and research.
