The team
Our UX team sits at the heart of our human-centred approach to digital experiences. We combine deep user insights with innovative thinking to create intuitive, inclusive and impactful digital design.
Working across public sector, non-profit and commercial clients, our UX practitioners are embedded within multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with researchers, developers and marketers to build accessible, evidence-driven digital solutions that make a difference.
We’re champions of user needs – from initial discovery through to delivery and optimisation. Whether it’s conducting field research, facilitating stakeholder workshops or defining service blueprints, we shape the user experience across every touchpoint.
What you’ll be doing
As Lead UX Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of user experiences that truly make an impact. You’ll define and implement UX strategies that align with both client goals and user needs, working across multiple sectors including finance, education, and non-profit.
You’ll be a strategic thinker and hands-on practitioner, balancing leadership with execution. You'll mentor team members, lead discovery and design phases, and work with senior stakeholders to embed user-centred thinking into everything we do.
As CTI’s Lead UX Designer, you will:
📅 Define and implement UX strategies that contribute to long-term digital transformation for our clients.
🔍 Lead UX discovery activities including research, stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, and usability testing.
🤝 Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, designers and analysts to align UX work with delivery goals.
🤜 Mentor and support other UX designers and researchers, helping to grow the team and maintain a high bar for quality.
📊 Translate complex user needs into clear, actionable design outputs – including wireframes, IA, and interactive prototypes.
💡 Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring all outputs meet required standards and best practices.
🔗 Build strong client relationships, providing UX consultation and influencing key product decisions.
🚀 Contribute to business development by supporting pitches, proposals, and presenting the value of UX to potential clients.
🧰 Refine and improve internal UX processes, tools, and frameworks to drive consistency and efficiency across projects.
🚀 Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, bringing innovative thinking into our design work.
