- Rotating Shift Pattern (40 hrs per week)
- Full-time / permanent
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Leading Hand - Despatch and Yard Operations, include:
- Monitor procedures for the movement and transfer of materials to the correct locations in the given timelines across the stackyard.
- Carry out quality checks on the materials that are to be moved and deal with any quality concerns and damage.
- Uphold rigorous Health & Safety standards, ensuring employees are working safely in a clean and hazard free environment and enforcing the correct use of PPE and company policies and procedures.
- Operation of a side loader and other mobile plant vehicles
We’re seeking attentive and quality focused individuals, who have high appreciation for Health and Safety standards. In addition, you’ll have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Proactive in identifying areas of improvement.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment.
- Full driving license.
