We are looking for an outstanding Learning and Behaviour Mentor to join this forward-thinking academy for a period of 6 months with the potential to extend. We are seeking to employ staff who have a thirst to develop young people to build teams committed to academic and pastoral success. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in influencing positive learning outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for students at risk of exclusion or underachievement.
- Support the emotional well-being, social development, and behavioural progress of identified students.
- Act as a consistent and trusted key adult, building professional relationships that make a lasting impact.
- Monitor student behaviour and progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing relevant information with staff.
- Work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, and SEN teams to implement behaviour support plans.
- Support reintegration and restorative meetings following behavioural incidents or suspensions.
- Supervise internal exclusion or withdrawal spaces as needed.
- Model positive behaviour, de-escalation strategies, and emotional regulation throughout the school.
