This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, leading Life Sciences organisation and be part of the IT Operations team, which is responsible for managing the technology that supports the organisation. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues in Infrastructure and Security Operations to ensure the smooth running, security, and maintenance of our Linux systems across various environments. You will also contribute to key IT projects by implementing infrastructure solutions using automation tools. Additionally, you will help shape and execute security policies to protect the institute’s digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and managing server infrastructure for web applications.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based systems.
- Automating system management tasks to improve efficiency.
- Supporting database installations and configurations.
- Monitoring and maintaining IT security, responding to alerts, and improving security measures.
- Contributing to IT projects and working with various teams to implement new technologies.
- Assisting in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- Supporting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and policy implementation.
