Continuous Improvement Manager
Business Unit Parts and Field Service is a global organisation with harmonised ways of working and tools to deliver the best possible services for our customers. In order to further improve our operations and drive continuous improvement and excellence in the organisation, we are now looking for a
Continuous Improvement Manager with excellent financial acumen to lead the continuous improvement journey in Region Central Europe. The preferred location for the position is
Schiedam, Hamburg, Gdansk or Fareham. Other
Wärtsilä locations in Netherlands, Poland or UK can also be considered.
In accordance with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely. In this key role, travel is required to meet with customers in our region. Thus, we hope that you are ready and willing to travel as and when required.
What will you be doing?
As
Continuous Improvement Manager in Parts and Field Service Region Central Europe, you will be leading us on our continuous improvement journey, improving our operations and driving continuous improvement and excellence in the organisation. This is a key role to lead, support, and role-model WCI to ensure successful adoption of new methodologies and performance improvements.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as Continuous Improvement ambassador for P&FS Region Central Europe.
- Coach and train the people of P&FS Region Central Europe on WCI thinking and methodologies.
- Drive, maintain, and support the development of our WCI goals.
- Assist teams and accountable parties with continuous improvement initiatives and FLOW improvement projects.
- Collect and contribute best practice examples, ensuring knowledge sharing and collective commitment to continuous improvement.
- Role-model positive attitude to foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the organisation.
The below will enable you to succeed in this role:
- MSc or BSc in relevant educational field.
- Proven track record of leading change and experience with continuous improvement, LEAN, or 5S.
- Continuous improvement mindset, leading the way, challenging, and supporting change.
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills, enabling your pursuit of operational excellence.
- Proven project management skills.
- Self-directed and structured way of working.
- Strong networking skills to enable and inspire collaboration.
- Pedagogical skills and ability to seamlessly deliver trainings to colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication, influential, and motivational skills.
- Structured approach and way of working.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (proficiency in one or several European languages is considered an advantage).
