As a Manager within the Professional Education Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of professional education at Deloitte, driving innovation to maximise the value we deliver to both our people and our clients.

This high impact role within the Professional Education Team offers the opportunity to shape the future of professional education at Deloitte. You'll drive innovation to maximise value for our people and clients, working closely with the Head of Professional Education and partners across the firm. Your leadership will help to guide a team of qualification managers, aligning with Deloitte's strategic priorities. By leveraging your understanding of professional education and business acumen, you'll contribute to developing and implementing a world-class strategy that supports learners and meets evolving business needs. Collaboration is key, as you'll partner with stakeholders across HR to transform our Professional Education offering and integrate it with broader talent initiatives.

Working with the Head of Professional Education, your role will include:

Programme Transformation, Design and Development

  • Playing a key role in the transformation of our Early Career Audit Training Model, collaborating with Audit stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and optimising student success.
  • Undertaking Learning Needs Analyses to anticipate and address the evolving skills requirements of the business, proactively identifying and implementing innovative professional qualification solutions.
  • Playing a key role in the transition to the 'Next Gen ACA' qualification, and apprenticeship levy changes to minimize disruption and maximize benefits.
  • Leveraging professional qualification expertise and data-driven insights to continuously review and enhance apprenticeship, and firm-wide qualification offerings, ensuring they remain aligned with business needs and reflect best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitating strategic engagement with partners in Audit and Assurance and firmwide to shape the vision and direction of our professional education offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and a consistent, high-quality student experience.
  • Collaborating with partners to support the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies, and processes that enhance the quality and impact of our professional education programmes.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key HR stakeholders to optimise the student experience, from recruitment and onboarding through to professional qualification and beyond.

Operational Delivery/Third party management

  • Overseeing the operational delivery of professional education programmes, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for students and their managers.
  • Playing a key role in the relationship with Central Business Services and the Student Advisory Service team to define, monitor, and continuously improve service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Supporting the development and management of strategic partnerships with apprenticeship and professional education providers, ensuring alignment with Deloitte's quality standards and business objectives.
  • Representing Deloitte in engagements with external professional bodies, such as the ICAEW, to influence policy development and ensure compliance with industry standards.


Connect to your skills and professional experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW or ICAS)(or equivalent) with experience in professional education and development, specializing in accounting and tax qualifications (e.g. ACA, ICAS, CFAB, CIMA).
  • Experience of supporting professional qualification programs within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Understanding of apprenticeship policy, levy funding rules, and early careers development frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with experience using data and insights to contribute to strategic decision-making and measure programme effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences, both written and verbally.
  • Project management experience, with experience of delivering initiatives on time and within budget.
  • People management experience.
  • Strong team working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Proficient in utilizing digital platforms and analytical tools to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
  • Experience of the professional services industry is highly desirable.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
