The Consulting Technical Team provides outstanding technical support to all our client facing teams across our six solutions, ensuring our people are equipped with the necessary resources and knowledge to deliver premium services. Our team provides a crucial role in the firm’s success by providing expert advice, clarifying complex legislative areas as well as ensuring the operating and work environment is effective and streamlined and our risk is managed effectively.

You'll make an impact by:
- Serving as part of the first line support team for technical enquiries, providing timely responses, identifying themes, and sharing insights and knowledge across the wider faculty
- Investigating and responding to complaints, in conjunction with the firm’s complaints partner, ensuring they are addressed effectively and in a timely manner, identifying themes and delivering insights to minimise the risk of complaints arising in future
- Providing clear, practical advice and guidance to the client facing and technical staff of legislative, legal and regulatory changes.
- Ensuring our operating procedures and environment, documents and guidance are accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal policies and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Drafting and contributing to technical news briefs, updates and training courses
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement, proposing solutions to reduce risk and increase efficiencies, delivering agreed-upon improvements
- Preparing tailored compliance reports that are insightful and drive quality, including reports to the senior leadership team
- Collaborating and liaising with client facing teams, providing support to compliance and quality representatives, highlighting and addressing areas of improvement
- Represent the firm at technical committee meetings, extracting critical insights and communicating actionable knowledge to the technical and client teams
- Undertaking other projects as agreed to support the above responsibilities
- Being a part of the wider Consulting Technical Team, sharing knowledge, skills, learnings to the wider Consulting service line and technical team.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational abilities, keen attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for compliance initiatives, technical challenges, and the provision of commercially astute, high-quality services. The ideal candidate will excel in handling a variety of tasks, possess a strong desire to acquire new skills, drive change, and establish connections with colleagues at all levels across the firm.
This role will require:
- Experience in formal insolvency work within a professional practice
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, ideally CPI qualified
- Ability to communicate complex technical material clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to embrace digital technology tools and use these to drive improvements and efficiencies
- Good working knowledge of IPS or an alternative case management system
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet the deadlines and maintain a high quality of work.
- Experience in introducing and implementing new internal procedures is desirable
- Experience in compliance and systems review is desirable
