Roles & Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Material Planner Placement Student, you will be planning the material requirements and manufacturing workflow in support of the Company’s production schedules for state-of-the-art Defence Systems that deliver world-class performance. Working within an agile, multi-discipline team, responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the continued development of manufacturing planning and execution systems
- Development and compilation of manufacturing KPIs in support of manufacturing improvements
- Analysis of manufacturing activities in terms of adherence to schedules and performance against targets
- Maintenance and management of parts supply through manufacturing systems
About You
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Studying in the penultimate year of a relevant Business Management, Information Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering (BEng / BSc / BA minimum) degree
Values & Behaviours:
- Can demonstrate a knowledge of Manufacturing Systems and / or the basic principles of Material Planning
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy when working at pace
- Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative to follow projects and tasks through to completion
- Team working skills
- Work experience in FMCG industry would be beneficial however not essential
The successful candidate must be a University student in their penultimate year of study able to work for Thales in the period between their penultimate and final year of study; starting by August 2025.
