Description
The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executives to deliver the Vet Direct and Buying Groups Marketing Strategy. You will have your own areas of responsibility and be a critical role in a fast paced team which delivers diverse tactical campaigns across multiple channels.

Vet Direct is a multi-functional supplier for veterinary practices; fulfilling consumable, uniform, instrument and equipment needs. MiVetClub and VetShare are buying groups that are delivering extensive procurement packages for independently owned veterinary practices, to empower them to deliver affordable and high quality veterinary services to their customers. This is an office based role with hybrid working available. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage website product updates and uploads
  • Create and schedule engaging social media posts and responding to messages
  • Support the Marketing Manager to deliver the Events strategy
  • Product photography and video to support
  • Update key documents to ensure the most up to date information is available for our customers
  • Proof reading print and online materials
  • Manage updates to our eBay shop, create promotions and monitor sales for our eBay channel
  • Report on campaign analytics, social media presence and monitor competitor activity
  • Liaise with external agencies and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner
  • Conduct market and customer research projects and competitions
  • Create and communicate internal news & updates
  • Support the Marketing Manager and Commercial Director with ad hoc brand tasks, campaigns and administration tasks as required

Experience And Key Skills Required

  • Excellent attention to detail and always strives to get it right
  • Be proactive, able to use your own initiative and work without close supervision
  • Have good organisation skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet timelines whilst prioritising
  • Willingness to learn and able to adapt to change
  • Appreciate the importance of legal and regulatory frameworks with an understanding of data protection and GDPR
  • Good communication skills and teamwork skills

Experience

  • Office package including excel and powerpoint, 365 a bonus
  • Management of social campaigns and using social media management tools
  • Ideally a marketing qualification, but not essential. An understanding of business and marketing concepts with a passion for marketing is required
  • Experience of Canva, dotDigital, Meta, Semrush, Camtasia, Google Analytics and Google Suite would be ideal but not essential
  • Driving licence preferred
