Job Description

Version 1 is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Marketing Director to lead its global marketing function, delivering a strategy that drives revenue growth in synergy with commercial long-term plans and overall corporate objectives. This role is key to accelerating demand and market engagement, ensuring that marketing efforts across the full mix are data-driven, customer-centric and directly attributed to business outcomes. With a global remit, the primary focus will be on UK, Ireland, US and India. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on an integrated marketing strategy that supports Version 1’s long-term vision, market positioning, and business growth. Develop and lead long-term strategic marketing plans in collaboration with senior leadership teams and stakeholders across the organisation
  • Build the reputation and credibility of marketing across influential and executive-level stakeholders, establishing the function as the go-to strategic partner for commercial and delivery teams
  • Oversee strategic campaign planning and integrated marketing initiatives that support sector and service line marketing objectives, growing into existing strategic accounts as well as generating leads, boosting conversion rates and nurturing into sustainable revenue streams
  • Advise on and implement an effective MarTech stack and channel strategy in-line with industry best-practice to level-up the customer experience
  • Deploy data-driven insights to shape marketing strategy and tactics, using analytics and market intelligence to guide strategy, assess performance and adapt as necessary
  • Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of marketing programmes, optimise budget and generate insights to inform decision-making and future strategy
  • Lead a multidisciplinary marketing team, empowering team leads to maximise budget and resources and align on priorities
  • Manage the overall global marketing budget with team leads, acting as liaison and forecasting/reporting to finance team and ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and ROI

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior marketing leadership roles within the IT services or technology sector, with demonstrable success in developing and executing on long-term marketing strategies that drive sustained business growth

  • Excellent influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to be flexible, moving comfortably between high level strategic thinking and critical detail
  • High level of commercial awareness with experience of working tightly with commercial teams to understand customer landscapes and achieve customer-centric results
  • Ability to stay informed and relevant on emerging industry trends, with the ability to apply intelligence to drive innovation in marketing, efficiency and best practice
  • A strong and emotionally intelligent leader, with the ability to inspire and lead across functions and geographies
