Description
HW Fisher is on an exciting growth journey, expanding both organically and through strategic acquisitions. To support our continued success, we’re looking for a one year fixed term maternity cover for our current BD and Marketing Manager, to lead and deliver a broad range of marketing and business development initiatives.
This is a pivotal role that will shape how HW Fisher presents itself to clients, prospects, and future employees. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director as well as senior leaders across the business and be supported by Sumer’s central marketing team, giving you access to additional expertise, tools, and development opportunities.
This is a 12 month - FTC position.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development- Collaborate with the senior management team to refine and strengthen the HW Fisher brand.
- Champion the brand internally and externally, ensuring all communications reflect our values and market position.
Marketing Strategy & Delivery- Work with the Marketing Director, and heads of departments to implement the marketing plan, focusing on key growth areas and tailored tactics.
- Oversee website performance and digital marketing initiatives, supported by a digital assistant
- Plan, write, and manage email marketing campaigns, providing clear performance reports.
- Manage third party relationships to maximise our brand awareness in specific areas
- Create thought leadership content, including blogs and articles.
- Plan and execute a programme of client and industry events.
- Work with our design agency to develop creative assets and marketing communications.
Business Development- Work closely with service lines and the BD Manager to support client acquisition and retention strategies.
- Managing our lead tracking system and BD lead conversion support
- Support bid, pitch, and tender processes by developing compelling collateral and tailored presentations.
Additional Responsibilities- Delivering effective internal communications around initiatives to ensure take-up and appropriate usage on the ground
- Carry out ad hoc tasks to ensure smooth marketing and business development operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Demonstrable experience of marketing, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong project management and organisational skills – able to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- A strong grasp of marketing strategy, campaign planning, and execution across digital and offline channels.
- A proactive and commercial mindset – always looking for ways to add value and contribute to growth
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the ability to influence all levels.
- Practical knowledge of full Microsoft Office 365, Canva, HubSpot
