We are looking for a
Marketing Technology Manager who is results oriented, proactive, flexible and enthusiastic about digital marketing channels and technology to join our marketing team. If you have experience helping to shape digital marketing transformation and technology strategies, tech stack evaluations and systems implementation, we would like to hear from you. It is imperative that you have hands-on digital marketing systems experience, a strong attention to detail and solid communications skills. If you have experience working with a marketing team to help improve use of existing systems and technologies and evaluate and adopt new tools to support marketing automation, increased demand generation and more effective and efficient ways of working, we want to hear from you.
Role Purpose.
The Marketing Technology Manager is an experienced individual who will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and managing digital marketing technology and marketing automation strategies that align with business objectives and help increase demand generation and drive sales growth
- Collaborating with marketing and sales, information technology and data teams to carry out marketing technology impacted projects, select tech vendors and implement solutions
- Providing recommendations, creating reports and presenting to Head of Marketing and the wider digital marketing team to inform technology decision making
- Delivering hands-on, tangible improvements to digital marketing systems, manging technology platforms, workflows and user support
Key Responsibilities.
- Serve as central liaison between marketing and tech/IT teams to help bridge relationships that will deliver clear understanding of business goals and objectives within available technology, and facilitate communication between the global digital marketing team and all supporting departments, esp. IT, in order to support system upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting issues and resolutions, especially those that impact marketing automation
- Lead the selection, implementation, integration and optimisation of marketing technology platforms that drive efficiency, personalisation and performance across the marketing function.
- Manage Dynamics CRM marketing support agency relationship, workflows and user support, as well as website integration with other systems and marketing automation technology, liaising with IT counterparts and digital marketing team members where needed
- As part of our digital marketing transformation journey, develop and execute the digital marketing technology roadmap, managing the implementation and optimization of the martech stack.
- Collaborating with digital marketing, content and regional marketing teams, manage and deliver ‘best-in-class’ AI-driven marketing automation processes, customer journeys, autoresponders, campaign management and measurement, etc, ensuring that functionality, personalisation, forms, self-assessment tools, lead management and performance all provide a superb user experience and support increased conversion rate optimisation to support improved campaign efficiency, enhanced personalisation at scale, lead generation and sales growth
- Serve as the global Dynamics CRM, GTM and Google Analytics Super User and manage training, best practice and provide global direction to support the ability to provide improved campaign and digital marketing performance
- Support the monitoring of data quality within the Dynamics CRM to ensure owned marketing technologies are providing current, accurate and complete data in accordance with Marketing Technology best practices
- Help improve the ROI of marketing budgets through improvements to our websites, CRM, digital content tools, and other marketing automation channels, establishing a consistent set of frameworks and guidance for use globally and across regional marketing teams
- Support digital marketing transformation outcomes by working effectively with other marketing, sales and IT team members, bought in services/agencies and other internal and external interfaces to ensure timely and financially effective digital marketing channel delivery
- Review technology solutions, research industry benchmarks and explore developments in the digital landscape to recommend and manage ways to be more efficient, effective and ahead of trends by providing information, recommendations and innovative ideas for new digital marketing channels, tactics, and tech, ensuring they are relevant, complete, efficient and workable
- Facilitate digital marketing and regional marketing team training, using external agencies and support when needed
- Budget management, scope of work and contract negotiations with marketing technology support agencies when needed
- Ensure GDPR data compliance
- Collaborate with the marketing team to identify efficiencies that will drive increased effectiveness and propose AI-driven automation solutions.
Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements.
- Degree level education in a marketing discipline with at least 6 years of B2B digital marketing, website and marketing automation technology coordination and execution experience or equivalent years’ experience in a similar B2B digital marketing role.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of applicable IT and digital technologies, including AI, Episerver, Optimisely, Dynamics CRM, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Mouseflow and SEO and/or similar marketing and sales systems required. Experience in website testing, personalisation and conversion rate optimisation required.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to present material in a way which is appropriate to the level of knowledge of the audience. Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in English.
- Experience in developing and delivering digital marketing strategy and channel execution to increase lead generation and support sales growth.
- Strong experience with digital marketing budget management, contract negotiations and scope of work/requirements gathering required.
- Experience with Demandbase, Microsoft Dynamics, ZoomInfo, Leadoo or similar platforms preferred.
- Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, seeking management input, advice and direction when needed, with good communication skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload to deliver results effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Experience analysing digital marketing results, data, preparing reports and making recommendations for digital marketing improvements.
