Job Description
Assisting in the running and development of City Centre Management Markets and Street Trading Service, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth daily operation of all aspects of the service, identifying and delivering improvements and maximising revenue opportunities. You will also oversea the issuing of charity street collections and Saturday stall permits, plus productivity manage illegal street trading and non licensable activity such as busking.
Making sure that all market traders comply with all relevant regulations, you will monitor any breaches of these condition and take the appropriate action. You will have a visible presence on the Markets on a daily basis, plus provide guidance on organising events in the city centre and advice on filing requests.
With experience of working in a customer focussed environment and previous experience of the Markets and street Trading industry, managing at an operation level, you will have knowledge of managing small-scale projects. with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, you will be confident and have a calm organisational skills, solid time-management and the ability to prioritise deadlines.
An understanding of working with City Partnership and Business Improvement Districts would be advantageous, as would previous exposure to working in a political environment and knowledge or working with NABMA (National Association of British Markets Authorities) and NMTF (National Market Traders Federation) with a willingness to attend training events when required.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Flexible work pattern across all 7 days, Mon - Sun. Must be available 06.30am - 6pm.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,586 - £35,235 per annum (City Pay Band 4)
