An exciting opportunity has arisen for proactive, customer focused candidates to join the Operations team on home matchdays and events at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Matchday/Events Safety Steward.
Safety Stewards show a level of commitment that ensure they can succeed in this customer facing role and act in line with the club's own standards and values. The role will be supporting our operation across the stadium. We welcome interest from everyone who enjoys assisting and supporting others, caring toward others and problem solving.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To promote safer working practice and maintain a culture whereby safeguarding is recognised as a shared responsibility
- Provide outstanding customer service as a representative of the club
- Give accurate and helpful venue information, being knowledgeable about your area of work
- Investigate and report crowd problems and assist with crowd management processes
- Carry out pre-event checks and attend briefings
- Promote a high level of guest integration and service
- Monitor and direct crowds and queue management (which may include issuing verbal instructions confidently)
- Checking tickets and welcoming visitors
- Enforce stadium regulations
- Respond to incidents (may be needed to write follow-up report as required)
- Hold static positions to ensure safety of supporters and staff
- Maintain a clean, productive, and safe working area
- Must be able to achieve NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety within 12 months of accepting position (provided by the club)
