I am seeking a Metocean Engineer in the offshore wind sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Analysis:
- Collect and analyse metocean data for offshore wind farm design and operations.
- Use advanced software and modelling tools to interpret data.
Project Support:
- Provide metocean input for offshore wind farm structures.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare reports and presentations on metocean conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of data and analysis.
Risk Assessment:
- Identify and evaluate risks from metocean conditions.
- Develop mitigation strategies for offshore operations.
Innovation & Development:
- Stay updated on metocean technology advancements.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Oceanography, Meteorology, Marine Science, or related field. Master’s preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years in metocean data collection and analysis, ideally in offshore wind.
- Proficiency with metocean modelling tools.
