About The Role

Our Technical Services department are critical in keeping our airport running. As a Multi Skilled Facilities Technician you will be responsible for providing building management services and supporting the infrastructure of the airport. We bet you’re thinking “so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?” well….

• I will be responsible for maintaining the X-Rays, baggage system, HVAC and all electrical and plumbing works throughout the site.
• I will be responsible for maintaining the building services and fabric in line with ACoPs, national guidelines, and company procedures.
• I will be responsible for maintaining a detailed register of the site system failures, their causes and their effects.
• I will be responsible for maintaining a detailed register of the airports mechanical assets along with associated drawings and schematics.
• I will identify and report the need for major repairs.
• I will be responsible for liaising with third party contractors
• I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
• I understand that the shift pattern I will work is 4 on 4 off and that the Airport is in operation 24/7, so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  
  

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Sounds good so far? You’re probably wondering “What skills and experience do I need for this role?” This is a critical role within our airport, therefore there are some key skills and experience we would require you to hold in order to undertake this role.

• Level 3 technical qualification in building services, engineering or equivalent or hold relevant work experience.
• Experience working within building services, facilities management or maintenance engineering.
• Competent in raising and working under permits to work/sanctions to test.
• Competent in working from complex system drawings and schematics.
• Experienced in fault finding and trouble shooting.
• Full UK Driving Licence
