About The Role
As our business evolves, we are looking to strengthen our workforce with talented and motivated individuals across a range of disciplines to work from our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence and currently have this opportunity available:
The primary purpose of this role is to complete RT, VT, MT & PT tests and inspection of products at various stages of production process, with an emphasis on non-destructive testing.
Key Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Ensuring the product quality of materials that are fabricated on the shop floor in a timely manner.
- Reviews part prints, procedures and work instructions to complete testing.
- Sets up and perform non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics:
- Documenting non-conformance report, and corrective/preventative actions.
- Ensures that equipment operates correctly.
- Ensures compliance to the process for the Control of Records and Document Control Process.
- Participation in problem solving activities, to mitigate the presence of defects identified.
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to read and accurately interpret drawings/specifications.
- The ability to use Quality Instruments, i.e. Weld gauges, micrometers, steel ruler, etc.
- Qualified in accordance with PCN Level 2 for RT, with additional desirables in VT/MT/PT with suitable qualifications
- Exposure of working within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment (ideally on sub assembly components for either - Aerospace, MOD, Motorsport, Oil & Gas or Nuclear)
- Driving Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing
- NDT Experience
