Network Engineer

Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

We are currently seeking a Network Engineer, to join our Network Practice; within one of our Financial clients . This is a hybrid position but you will be required to attend the office up to 2 days a week, based in the London.

What you'll be doing:

• Implement, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
• Administer Cisco ACI environments, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and optimize Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) to ensure operational efficiency.
• Participate actively in network monitoring and respond to incidents promptly.
• Support network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion of milestones and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver network enhancements and upgrades.
• Document changes and maintain accurate network configurations and architecture diagrams.
• Work closely with IT security teams to maintain network security protocols and standards.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams for integration and deployment tasks.

What you'll bring:

• CCNP
• Strong skills in routing, switching, firewall configurations, and troubleshooting network issues.
• Deep understanding of network security best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex enterprise networks.
