Salary Guide: c. £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus + package

Walker Hamill continually works with long-standing clients in the private equity, venture capital and alternatives space, who frequently hire newly qualified ACAs looking to begin a career within the industry.

Our clients include large buyout funds, UK and European mid-market investors, growth capital funds and venture capital firms. We also recruit for multi-strategy investment managers and funds within the private credit, real estate, secondaries, fund-of-funds and infrastructure space.

Typical positions we recruit for include Fund Accountant, Financial Accountant, Finance Analyst and Management Accountant roles. These roles are often an excellent first step toward becoming a Finance Director or CFO later in your career, but can also lead to other opportunities as you progress. Our specialist consultants are well-positioned to help you secure a new role and to provide guidance around your options.

We help qualified ACAs from accounting practice firms in London. We have demand for those trained within the 'Big 4' and large, established practice fims as well for those who qualifed in medium sized and smaller firms, due to the variation in client exposure and tasks performed by trainee accountants.

Our clients ask for:

• A strong academic track record - minimum 2.1 degree from a reputable university
• ACA qualified (or equivalent - we'll also consider high calibre individuals who've completed ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience in audit or accounts preparation
• Private equity and fund audit experience isn't essential, however an interest in the industry is more important
• A desire to learn
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A warm, low-ego style with the ability to work well in a team environment
