Next Gen @ Hearst UK | September 2025 Start | 12 Months (and beyond!) | London Based, 4 Days Per Week in Office | Competitive Starting Salary

If you’re ambitious, passionate about media and ready to dive headfirst into the world of content and culture - this is your sign. Hearst UK (home to Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Men’s Health, Esquire, House Beautiful, and more) is on the lookout for several creative and commercially curious minds to join our Next Gen @ Hearst UK Programme, starting September 2025.

This isn’t your average early career scheme. For twelve exciting months (and ideally for longer), you’ll be immersed in either one of our powerhouse portfolios: Luxury, Wellness or Homes or join our Customer Insights team which enable our portfolios to thrive!

You’ll work directly with the Portfolio Director’s getting a front-row seat to the magic behind our best-loved brands whilst working across departments such as Sales & Marketing, Digital, Video & Finance.

Think: pitch decks, sales strategy, creative partnerships, brand events, and helping shape the future of media. It’s real responsibility, real mentorship, and real impact—right from day one Where you will receive tailored support, standout training, and a chance to make your mark.

What You’ll Be Doing…

(Don’t worry, you’ll learn the ropes fast – we’ve got your back.)

  • Get your hands dirty: working with the Portfolio Directors, be prepared to get stuck in to work and make a difference, whether the work is big or small.
  • Creative Sales Collab: Partner with commercial teams to develop new ideas, unlock revenue streams, and make sure our brands shine to advertisers.
  • Market Vibes: Stay on top of what’s trending across media, culture, and competitors—feeding fresh insights into everything you do.
  • Client Connection: Help shape killer presentations, support events, and build strong relationships with agency and brand partners.
  • Content & Brand Collateral: Own key content—media kits, insight decks, brand strategy docs—making sure they’re always pitch-perfect and up to date.
  • Money Moves: Assist with budgets and forecasting—yes, the spreadsheets matter too. You’ll help make sure our plans are ambitious and achievable.
  • Audience IQ: Get under the skin of our audiences—what they read, buy, scroll, love—and use that intel to fuel smart strategy.
  • Future Growth: Spot new ideas, categories, or products we could launch next. Help push the boundaries of what our brands can do.
  • Big-Picture Strategy: Work closely with the Portfolio Director and brand leads to map out what’s next—across editorial, digital, events, and more.

  • A love for media, trends, and storytelling—whether it's luxe fashion, next-gen wellness, or home inspo.
  • Social-savvy instincts and an eye for what makes people click.
  • A natural collaborator who can juggle multiple projects and stay cool under pressure.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset—you’re always spotting the next big thing.
  • High energy, curiosity, and ambition. We want people who show up with ideas and aren't afraid to use their voice.
  • A positive, passionate and solutions orientated nature with a growth mindset to work in a disrupted market and make change happen.
  • An understanding (or a keen interest!) in commercial media, advertising, Insights or sales strategy.
  • You treat everyone you meet—whether it’s the receptionist or the CEO—with the same warmth and respect.
