About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Housing Occupational Therapy Team as an Occupational Therapist. The post holder will manage a vast and varied caseload of clients, including those with complex needs and high levels of risk. Recommending appropriate and timely interventions. The OT will assess for adaptations and rehousing, working closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcome for your clients.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Housing Occupational Therapy Service is a part of the Housing Adaptation Team. We support adults and children with disabilities to achieve greater independence, opportunities, and safety at home. We are a multidisciplinary team, with Case Workers, Handypersons, Surveyors and a Coordinator, delivering of a range of services.
This post offers a rare opportunity to work within a large well-established team of Housing Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, where we assess for adaptations, rehousing and work on new build developments.
Reporting to the Senior Housing Occupational Therapist the post holder will be supported by regular clinical supervision and have access to training and CPD opportunities.

- You are enthusiastic, outgoing and self-motivated.

- You are a team player, acting with integrity and professionalism.
- You have great communication skills and are able to engage with a range of different stakeholders.
Your Skills
- Ability to identify and assess functional needs for adults and children with a disability.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and report writing to professional standards.
- Ability to implement eligibility guidance and procedures in relation to provision of equipment, adaptations and alternative housing.
Essential For The Role
- BSc in OT or equivalent. Registered as an OT with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Three years post qualifying experience including all aspects of OT processes relating to minor and major adaptations.
