Role overview:
We’re looking for a proactive and organised
Office / Facilities Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of our lovely Thame office. This role is great for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and loves creating a great workplace environment.
You’ll be the go-to person for all things office-related – making sure the space is well-maintained, welcoming for employees and visitors, and running efficiently. You’ll also support events, manage supplies, and help with health and safety compliance.
Main responsibilities:
- Office operations – managing supplies (stationery, kitchen, post), organising room bookings, handling maintenance and repairs, and keeping things tidy and functional
- People experience – welcoming guests, supporting new starters, and helping make the office a great place to work
- Health & safety – maintaining compliance (first aid kits, risk assessments, fire marshal coordination, etc.) and being a go-to person in emergencies
- Event support – helping with internal meetings, training sessions, and occasional social or team events (e.g. organising catering or set-up)
- Liaising with suppliers – managing cleaners, contractors, utilities and waste/recycling services
- Landlord and building management – acting as the key contact for the landlord and escalating any building issues
- General admin support – helping with internal communications, reporting, and ad hoc support
Skills / Experience required:
- Previous experience in office or facilities management (around 3 years is ideal)
- Friendly, approachable, and highly organised
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Some understanding of basic health & safety in the workplace
- A team player who enjoys creating a positive work environment
- Able to deal with ambiguity
