Position
Due to our continued growth and expansion within the Construction support and Geophysical markets, we have staff opportunities for Offshore Surveyors based globally.
The Offshore Surveyor is responsible for acquiring and processing accurate positioning data (vessel & sensors) and assisting in managing and carrying out required tasks in the field for survey projects in accordance with safe work procedures.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience gained within geophysical surveys offshore
- Experience of route surveys, MBES and ROV based surveys
- Good knowledge of computer skills, major survey equipment manufacturer’s online software packages and equipment
- Proficient with a variety of the field concepts, practices, procedures, and equipment operations such as GNSS, Navigation Software, SSS, MBES, SBP, USBL, and Seismic
- Ability to monitor data quality from all online survey systems
- Able to operate online and offline software (EIVA, Sonarwiz, Qimera, QINSY among others)
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of system calibrations and the effect of calibration on data quality
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in an appropriate survey related subject, or equivalent technical/military experience
- Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work offshore, including a valid passport and/or visas to travel internationally.
