Role Summary: 

As Operations Director, you will be the strategic leader responsible for building and scaling the operational backbone of Inquisitive. You will ensure our delivery systems are efficient, resilient, and aligned with ambitious product goals—minimising waste, controlling costs, and safeguarding quality.

Your work transforms creative vision into operational excellence, enabling Inquisitive to scale without compromise. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, supply chain, and leadership teams to operationalise ideas and drive seamless product delivery.

Who we need:

We’d love to speak to you if you’re an experienced Operations Director in a scaling, high-growth D2C (Direct to Consumer) product environment with international experience in either logistics, supply chain, or general management, or all three.

You’ll have developed and implemented international sourcing strategies, and fully understand the complexities of outsourced manufacturing within consumer goods.

Specifically, you’ll have worked with manufacturing partners in China, and ideally other locations. We’re constantly improving our efficiencies and expanding our supplier network as we grow, and your expertise will be invaluable to help us streamline these processes and achieve our operational objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Operational Efficiency

• Design and implement scalable systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
• Reduce cost-per-unit, streamline delivery cycles, and support consistent high-quality output
• Ensure reporting enables transparent decision-making and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement

Lead and Develop Operations Teams

• Provide direction and oversight to the Operations Leadership team
• Align team priorities with broader business objectives
• Monitor performance standards to ensure quality, efficiency, and team development

Strengthen Supplier Partnerships

• Define the strategy and structure for supplier management and procurement
• Build and nurture scalable, reliable supplier relationships
• Negotiate contracts and performance metrics that support cost-effective growth

More About You: 

• As well as the above, your experience and approach will encompass;Proven track record in fast-paced, high-growth B2C/D2C environments (e.g. startups, scale-ups, small businesses).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering across product, marketing, finance, and customer experience.
• Demonstrated career progression and team leadership, with a drive to make an impact at Inquisitive.
• Skilled at delivering new business initiatives with precision, agility, and measurable results.
• Sharp eye for identifying and solving operational bottlenecks; experienced in designing and implementing scalable systems.
• Leadership style that fosters accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Remote-ready, with at least one year of successful experience working in a distributed team.
• Experience in subscription-based business models is a strong plus.
• Excited to help build and scale a world-class operational engine behind bold, creator-driven products.
