Hemiko are looking for a operations Support manager to join our growing Operations team. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and can methodically work through our residential service program across multiple sites, along with driving continuous improvement and developing sound process within our operations department.
As well as looking at the strategical scheduling of HIU services and project delivery, the role will be required to understand the pinch points and identify areas for supporting our growing team of mobile engineers, be this through training, tooling, availability of parts, work instructions.

Some Of Our Current Projects Include
- The design, installation, operating, and funding of a district heating system to serve 3,500 homes in Clapham as part of a major regeneration project.
- The design, installation, and operation of a new city centre wide low carbon district heating system for the City of Cardiff.
- The design, installation, and operation of a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to a new development of 300 homes a gym and office building in South London.
- The design and installation of a heat network in a rural community in Cambridgeshire to replace oil boilers in 300 homes with centralised low carbon heat generation.
- Developing detailed long-term decarbonisation plans for existing large scale district heating networks to allow them to transition from gas fired CHP led generation to low carbon generation.

This is a role for someone who is organised and has a keen eye for detail. The role will require careful time management, critical thinking skills and thinking independently about how to effectively deliver multiple projects of varying complexity in parallel. This is for a self-starting personality, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable communicating at all levels, working collaboratively and co-operatively across departments, playing an integral part in executing O&M operations efficiently.
A diligent and empathetic personality is needed to be able to explain and present information appropriately, within the business and to external clients / customers also.

Key Responsibilities
Review contracts and absorb information for specific KPIs of clients and update the wider team to ensure we are providing the service the client requires.
Streamlining pinch points and improving efficiency of HIU service and breakdown delivery.
Liaising with the Operations department, both office-based staff and service engineers to ensure works are being delivered effectively.
Ownership of the residential and plant team training matrix, ensuring all relevant training is in place.
Taking and making calls to and from residents and clients, dealing with complaints and investigating route causes.
Ensure all metering related issues are owned and managed and keep a list of metering issues and ensure the list is acted upon and make data available to the inhouse BI developer to show outstanding issues on a timeline to enable us to efficiently rectify the issues.
Zendesk product owner for the operations department and ensuring records are accurate and relevant for the CS team to review.
Monitoring engineers work order reports and ensuring the data is accurate and relevant to pass onto the client for all work types.
Own the quoting process for all residential related works.
Be responsible for the HIU Service Planning, looking ahead, liaising with clients, ensuring that parts are on site prior to services, critical HIUs are identified and flagged, and work closely with the HIU coordinator to ensure engineers are sent to the required buildings, and carry out post HIU service window report to review success rate, complies reports and sends to client with feedback.
Client reporting and attending client meetings and gathering KPIs for the wider team and passing on the details to the wider team.
Ensure the teams (Procurement, Stores, support staff) are working together effectively to give top-notch support to the Operations teams and oversee the Procurement Officer to ensure parts are ordered on time and manage our suppliers well. For all new units leasing with manufactures to obtain parts lists for the units, to ensure critical spares are supplied with the correct stock levels for 1st time fixes.
Available to assist with working till 18:00 during busy periods to help with workload and assist the on-call managers.
Managing a team of employees within the Operations department and be able to work from the Carlisle office.
Be a team player and help with tasks outside of the remit when the team require assistance.
Knowledge & Experience
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Well versed in complex work Scheduling, ideally within a field service / engineering setting
- Strong to advanced analytical skills with Microsoft Excel / Project etc
- Advanced IT literacy skills, ideally with solid experience with CMMS/CAFM.
- Must be able to find advice and solutions for operational queries and provide reliable information
- Must possess strong organisation skills and an eye for detail
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English are essential
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and work ethic
- Ability to learn and work in multiple systems simultaneously
- Must possess integrity and trustworthiness towards the company
- Genuine interest in the industry and eagerness to contribute to a developing department

Remuneration and Info
- Remuneration: £36,000 - £38,500 (dependant on experience)
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance.
- Holidays 25 days a year plus statutory holidays - with an option to purchase, or sell, up to an additional 5 days per annual leave year.
- Full time (37.5hrs) however flexible working is available so please talk to us about potential options that work with you.
