DP World is growing! We have exciting opportunities for
Ops Launch Specialists to join our incredibly fast paced Contract Logistics PMO. In these roles you will use your Operations Management experience in Contract Logistics to support the launch of new contract wins and the implementation of continuous improvement and or Automation initiatives supporting the Ops Launch Managers and wider PMO to ensure projects are successfully completed on time and within budget.
These positions are offered on a Remote basis but with extensive travel requirements depending on where projects are based across Europe.
About The Role
- Support the implementation of new contract logistics launches in line with the Launch Governance Methodology/approach.
- Serve as primary system SME in supporting the system design completing UAT (internal and customer) to Project Go Live ensuring the project agreed scope is delivered and complete operational handover when all KPIs are met on a consistent basis.
- Develop good working relationships with all team members and the customer.
- Complete Process Flows for operational/system design (Visio)
- Complete test script scenarios for Internal UAT.
- Complete Internal and Customer UAT as per agreed scenarios successfully and on time
- Provide input in completing Operations Launch Project Plan (Microsoft)
- Complete the Launch RAG on a weekly basis to the Launch Manger, providing project status and calling out any project barriers that may be foreseen.
- Review, communicate and escalate critical project issues with the Ops Launch Manager.
- Ensure project team are supported for successful DITL completion
- Provide Training material to Training team to complete work instructions (Screen Shots)
- Participates in business process redesign teams.
- Ensure Launch Governance is followed/adhered to.
Your Key Qualifications
- Strong previous managerial experience within successful warehouse operations
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills whilst maintaining integrity are essential as you will be liaising with all levels of management and operations.
- Experience with new site launches/continuous improvement initiatives would be advantageous
- Strong organizational/analytical skills and be able to translate ideas to action effectively.
- The ability to cope with time pressure in volume dynamic operations is required whilst continuing to be enthusiastic and have a high level of energy ensuring project deadlines are consistently achieved.
