OTM Technician & Operator– Join Swietelsky’s Growing Team!

Swietelsky UK, a leader in railway engineering, is offering an exciting opportunity for 5 OTM Technician Operators who live in the following areas - York (x1), Doncaster (x2), Northampton (x1) and Leicester (x1).

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Carry out pre-planned maintenance, overhauls, outstanding repairs and fault finding before, during and after working shifts.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and daily housekeeping/cleaning/fueling of the OTM to ensure smooth operations in the field.
  • Undertake reactive fault-finding, repairs and major component replacement on OTM Fleet.
  • Work on a rotating roster, including travel and overnight stays as needed to meet project demands.
  • Completion and return of all associated documentation including but not limited to- Phires/DWR forms/log books/machine databases.
  • Advise control of all deviation to planned works
  • Full clean, UK recognised driving license.
  • Ensure Lifesaving rules and ROGS adhered to and other applicable standards.
  • Ability to work away from home with travel and overnight stays.


Essential Skills/requirements:

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to pass the Personal Track Safety and entrance medical, including substance testing and colour blindness. Others as agreed to meet the requirement of the post.
  • Willingness to partake in further training.
  • Previous Experience in the role is essential.
  • Must live within the catchment area's advertised to meet operational requirements.
