You will contribute to the team's provision of actuarial & performance services for SCOR business written in the UK (insurance, facultative reinsurance and treaty reinsurance business) for Lloyd's and non-Lloyd's entities.

Job Summary
You will be part of the UK team in the Global P&C Reserving and Performance department. You are ambitious actuary who wants to work as part of an established Reserving and Performance team, providing a wide range of actuarial reserving services for Lloyd's and non-Lloyds business and entities as well as performance analytics feeding into SCOR business performance cycle. A key part of the role will be working on quarterly analysis reserve update in applicable standards and providing analytics and insights to Group and UK management and to your business stakeholders and assisting on a wide variety of local and global Reserving and finance Projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the analysis of the technical reserves in all applicable standards (Group IFRS 17, Solvency II) on a quarterly basis for multiple lines of business
- Contribute to the performance cycle of the business written in the UK
- Lead with reserving projects, such as automation of current processes and modelling of specific lines of business
- Lead improvements of certain models, visualisation tools and dashboards
- Annual review of the UK portfolio and contribute to the actuarial report for the various UK legal entities
- Carry out regular or ad hoc studies for specific segments
- Work closely and feedback loop with claims team, finance team, underwriters and underwriting management and other members of the actuarial team to develop, review and maintain appropriate tools and methodologies
- Communicate with external Actuaries, Auditors and external regulators when required
- Help enhance management information and reporting for Lloyd's, PRA and ACPR
- Communicate key movement/trends/events to the business on a quarterly basis, with opportunity to present at Management meetings and Reserving Committees
- Communicate financial analytics to the business and SCOR group

Required Education
- Qualified actuary with relevant non life insurance work experience
- Several years of Lloyd's/London Market reserving experience including UK GAAP, IFRS17 and Solvency II.
- Knowledge of following software:
- Microsoft Office applications
- VBA experience
- SQL language or R coding
- Tableau / Python experience
- ResQ software
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and an understanding of how they impact on the business
- Excellent (Financial) analytical skills
