Malhotra Group PLC are currently looking to hire an experienced painter and decorator to work within our busy care and leisure sites based around the North East. Successful applicants will have the use of a company van to get from job to job and supplied with paint, brushes and company uniform.

In This Job You Will

• Work out how much paint or wallpaper is needed for a job.
• Lay down dust sheets and prepare materials.
• Strip off old wallpaper or layers of paint.
• Fill holes and cracks and make sure surfaces are level.
• Cover surfaces with primer and undercoat.
• Apply coats of paint and/or hang wallpaper.
• Add special finishes like stains or varnishes.
• Tidy up after finishing and clean your tools.
• Liaise with staff on each site.
• Work to our H&S policies.
• Maintain good relationships with our stakeholders throughout the business.

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week (weekend work also available)

Salary: Negotiable - depending on experience
