Department purpose
Our Business Acceptance Unit (BAU) provides a cutting-edge service to support the Firm in performing checks against all incoming business and the team prides itself on providing a second-to-none service in the areas of conflict and new client on-boarding checks.

Following the merger there is a need for the BAU to undertake a data cleanse of the data that is held in the conflict checking database Intapp. We require a driven and goal focussed individual to be part of this exciting new project. Goal focussed; the right candidate will work to assist the BAU Managers in the project objective of substantially reducing redundant data sets in the database.

Role and responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance of up-to-date records within the firm's database
- Assist with on a new data review project under the direction of the BAU Conflict Managers
- Collecting other records from team members and storing and organising such records in the appropriate databases.
- Helping to refine and develop further the BAU's internal records management databases and processes
- Working closely with the Finance, Marketing, and Business Development (BD) Departments to ensure that internal alerts are kept up-to-date
- Working together with all other team members in monitoring service levels of the review project.
- Assisting the BAU Managers and Legal Team with Paralegal support, Research and other projects
- Liaising with BAU Lawyers to review records within the database.
- Applying judgement and decision-making when reviewing data sets
- Inputting and removing data using the firm's conflict checking database Intapp
- Liaising with partners and other relevant fee-earners and with support departments to understand requirements with a view to retention or deletion of data sets
- Undertaking administrative duties including record maintenance.
- Being flexible in undertaking the above responsibilities and any others so required.

Key requirements

    <li class="\"Label\"" style="0margin-top: 3px;">Strong academic background - legal degree or relevant experience in a legal environment<li class="\"Label\"" style="0margin-top: 3px\";">Strong organisational skills coupled with demonstrable database management skills are essential. <li class="\"Label\"" style="0margin-top: 3px\";">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills <li class="\"Label\"">Ability to analyse and review data sets<li class="\"Label\"">Strong attention to detail <li class="\"Label\"">Ability to work independently under pressure and to remain focussed on tasks at hand.<li class="\"Label\"">Confident to liaise with matter teams and respond to target audience appropriately both in written and verbal communication<li class="\"Label\"">Strong team support focus<li class="\"Label\"">Goal focussed<li class="\"Label\"">Experience of working in a law firm, risk and compliance is preferred but is not essential.
