Description

Here at United Trust Bank we are looking to hire a Payment Operations Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day payment operations for the centralised function including STP payments, MI reporting, managing payment provider relationships. The candidate will also be heavily involved in project work to centralise and improve efficiency for payment related processes throughout the bank.


This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily BAU activities, payment release, bank reconciliations, cash management, proving cover for Payments Administrator
  • Completing daily Quality Assurance, providing control oversight, challenging process where required
  • Collating and reviewing monthly MI, presenting findings to Payments Manager
  • Assist Payments Manager in project to centralise payment activity, investigation, coordinating meetings and working groups
  • Assist Payments Manager in third party service provider service reviews, having an active role in relaying feedback and challenging service received
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend improvements


Skills and Experience sought:

  • An understanding of payments schemes (BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments, Cheque clearing and SWIFT)
  • An understanding of payment regulation and current industry changes
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Banking Systems (Including Online Banking)
  • Experience in a multi-function team is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in working within a small team
