This role is part-time and will be 20 hours per week. We are flexible on the working pattern but would want someone to be online Monday-Friday. You would be required to be in our South Wigston office two days a week, three days at home.
We are seeking a Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Resourcelink software and be capable of supporting some basic system changes in line with payroll processing. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
What will you do on a normal day?
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process monthly payroll for approximately 1300 employees (UK and ROI), ensuring timely and correct payments, through to BACS submission.
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including tax obligations and statutory deductions.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system to reflect changes in employment status, salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- System Support: Assist with basic system changes, such as post creation and updates, to the Resource link software, ensuring the system runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to management and other stakeholders as needed.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries promptly and accurately liaising with colleagues to ensure that they receive a great service
- Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information pertaining to payroll.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: Demonstrable experience of payroll is essential, prior experience of working with Zellis payroll software is preferable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for this role.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with payroll software systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information and employee records.
