The Client:

Rullion is excited to partner with a leading innovator in advanced system integration who possess over 50 years project experience across highly regulated sectors. They're seeking a Payroll & HR Co-Ordinator join their established team on a 12-18 month fixed term contract.


*Most of this role can be delivered remotely, however you need to be close enough to the Staffordshire area on an adhoc basis for Meetings, audits etc*


Summary of Role:

Oversee monthly PAYE payroll for UK and Ireland employees, ensuring precise processing. Manage HMRC returns, offer payroll guidance, and generate statistical reports. Conduct HR administrative duties such as monitoring sickness, recording dosimeter readings, and assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding.

Monthly Tasks:

  • Process payroll using MHR ITrent system.
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, allowances, and bonuses.
  • Manage pension contributions, auto enrolment, and opt-outs.
  • Handle starters, leavers, P45s, payslips, and statutory leave.
  • Process deductions, tax codes, student loans, and childcare vouchers.
  • Ensure compliance with national minimum wage and HMRC legislation.
  • Run separate payroll for Ireland and submit figures to ROS.
  • Submit RTI to HMRC, including FPS & EPS.
  • Prepare payroll journals and pension exports.
  • Monitor sickness and absence, request doctors' notes, and report to management.


Annual Tasks:

  • Submit P11D(b) and P60s to HMRC.
  • Gender pay gap reporting and annual survey of hours.
  • Update PMI rates and ensure benefit-in-kind rates are set.
  • Pension re-enrolment declaration every 3 years.


Essential Requirements:

  • Experience running monthly payroll and HMRC submissions.
  • Preferable MHR ITrent experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of GDPR and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
