Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Payroll team in Beaconsfield. We are looking for an experienced payroll professional to manage their own payroll portfolio. The role will report to Payroll Manager and will be responsible for running your own payroll portfolio on a day to day basis.
As Payroll Senior, Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Participate in team meetings including knowledge sharing and presenting new ideas and initiatives.
- Identifying potential opportunities with client portfolio for payroll services line and /or wider firm.
- Build internal network.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop knowledge and new skills to grow payroll service.
- Manage a portfolio of clients to ensure all payrolls are efficiently processed.
- Ensuring high levels of quality by thoroughly reviewing payroll reports in line with our payroll control framework.
- Managing client expectations and assisting clients with a positive attitude.
- Managing & dealing with client issues / problems on their payroll matters.
- Ensuring that developments in payroll related matters are monitored and reacted to.
- Attend to all payroll billing accurately and on time.
- Assist with new payroll on-boarding where necessary
- Assist with engagement letters and AML procedures for new clients, as required.
- Support HMRC enquiries and investigations as required.
- Manage and arrange Pension contributions payments on time.
- Supporting other team members as and when needed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ability to identify process improvements to add value to clients and the service line.
- Ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Demonstrate proactivity in responding to internal and external queries.
- Current knowledge of developments in the sector.
- Experience of Star/IRIS Payroll Professional is desired.
- Simultaneous management of multiple payrolls.
- Ability to process payrolls for clients unassisted with key attention to detail.
- Ability to process payroll input information provided by the client and liaise with client to clear any ambiguous instructions.
- Ability to attend to any client queries or Revenue issues.
- Preferably experience of acting in a practice environment dealing with external clients, but not essential for the right candidate.
