The role
The University of Surrey is a research-led university and one of its key focuses is Sustainability, where the challenge is to educate students and carry out research into ways in which we can all live fulfilling lives while reducing environmental damage.
The Centre for Environment & Sustainability (CES) offers the unique Practitioner Doctorate in Sustainability (PDS) programme, in which students complete their research project within an organisation, solving a real-world sustainability challenge.
CES is seeking a part-time Partnership Development Officer (0.5 FTE) who will be responsible for proactively developing new leads and opportunities with businesses to employ PDS students. The post holder will manage relationships with sponsor organisations for the duration of the project to ensure high student and sponsor satisfaction.
About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and experience in sales/business development. The post holder should be proactive in seeking opportunities to attract and retain sponsors.
We are looking for someone who would be available to work on Monday on campus, then two days across Tues/Wed/Thurs (these can be flexible). This is a part time role (18 hours/week).

This is a fixed term position to 31 July 2025. It is renewable annually thereafter subject to PDS programme requirements (the programme has been in place without interruption since 2015).
